If you have reached this site you probably met us in person. Every other weekend or so a group of us local Christians, most of us having met one another at a Bible Study,go out into our community and witness. A majority of us our teen girls, in addition to a few teen boys, as well as several men and women.
Witnessing? What’s that?
As Christians we are to be “fishers of men“, going out into the world and leading others to know Jesus Christ. Commonly today, we call this Witnessing. We take our Bibles, some Gospel Tracts, and Jesus within us and seek out the lost in our world.
Romans 10:14-15, “But how are they to call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard?And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!””
So, why make a website?
We realized some of the Gospel Tracts were inadequate sources for information. As we are going up to anonymous people we did not feel comfortable handing people are name and number, but instead we could create a website and e-mail adress. Then use the website to publish numerous articles on any and every topic we can think of and the e-mail to stay in contact with those we meet.
What area is “your community”?
Currently, our focus has been Union Parish, Louisiana and Union County, Arkansas.
Are you affiliated with a church?
Our group is made up of several denominations and our church membership is spread about, too. Personally, we believe every denomination and church that believes the True Word of God belongs to the Church, the Body of Christ and there is no distinction between one or the other then petty differences that have no real affect on Salvation itself. We have prepared a Statement of Faith of our the core beliefs
. In fact, most denominations share the same statement.
